Billionaire’s Regret: Ex–Wife Becomes Heiress
Chapter 34 Indifferent

Celeste stopped walking. She looked at her calmly. “Mrs. Rowe, I divorced your son just as you wanted. I am no longer your daughter–in–law. I have no obligation to do anything for you. You have a new daughter–in–law now. Let her help you with the massage.”
“You…” Fiona’s eyes flickered. Her lumbar disc herniation had hurt for years. But ever since Celeste helped with acupuncture, she hadn’t felt pain in a long time.
“I admit, I looked down on you. The Rowe family is powerful. I just wanted to find someone from a prestigious family who could help my son. I am grateful that you knew when to divorce.”
Most mothers from wealthy families thought this way.
She thought the same way.
The only thing to blame was her poor family background.
Celeste said calmly, “Then I wish you get what you wanted!”
Fiona frowned. She was the one who had been divorced.

Chapter 34 Indifferent
Why did she act so normal?
She had come with full energy when she heard that Nora
wanted her here. She had planned to mock her thoroughly.
But now, seeing her so calm, it was like all her energy hit a
cushion.
Celeste went upstairs directly. Nora saw that Celeste had
arrived.
She looked at her lovingly.
“Grandma,” Celeste said as she walked in. She still couldn’t be indifferent toward Nora.
“Celeste, come here,” Nora said, smiling lovingly at her.
Nora had been a great beauty in her youth. Now, in her seventies, she had grown even more loving.
Celeste sat beside her. In front of Nora, she wasn’t as indifferent as usual. “Grandma, how have you been feeling?”
“Celeste, I’ve been fine. I just miss you,” Nora said, looking at her with heartache. That rascal Nathaniel would regret it one day.
Celeste smiled. “Grandma, I’ll still be living here. I’ll come visit you when I can.”

“Good! Celeste, why did you leave with nothing? Didn’t you
help out a lot?”

Celeste smiled slightly. Not taking any assets was her way of making a clean break.
“Grandma, I’m doing well.” She knew it wasn’t easy for Nathaniel at the company. His father had died unjustly, and the truth still hadn’t been found.
His uncle had his eyes on the company.
Nora took a document from the table and handed it to Celeste.
“Celeste, these are my shares in the company. I’m giving them to you…”
“Grandma, I can’t accept them.” Celeste quickly interrupted Nora. She knew Nora cared for her but hadn’t expected her to give her shares.
“Silly girl, don’t be so quick to refuse. I want to secretly transfer these shares to you. I know Nathaniel isn’t
trustworthy, but I can’t manage everything. His uncle already took the company once. He can take it again. These shares…”
“So, Celeste, you divorced Nathaniel and took nothing. Turns

out you were eyeing Mom’s shares. Your ambition is too big.”
Fiona’s voice came, and she stormed in right after. Nathaniel followed her in.
Their eyes met. Nathaniel’s gaze was sinister and cold.
Celeste stood up and looked at Nora. “Grandma, I’ll be going now. Take care.”
“Celeste, you can’t be so greedy…”
“Shut up!” Nora said sternly. She looked at her shrewd daughter–in–law with increasingly cold eyes. “Ridiculous. I called Celeste back. It has nothing to do with her. If you want to blame someone, blame me.”
“Mom…”
“Enough. You don’t need to say more. Now that you’ve seen it, I’ll be honest with you. I just want to give my shares to someone I trust. Since Celeste doesn’t want them, I’ll keep them.”
Nora knew that today’s events had caused them to misunderstand Celeste.
In the future, they would make things difficult for Celeste. It was all her fault for not arranging things better.

Celeste nodded slightly. She didn’t look at Nathaniel. She left the Rowe residence.
She looked at the moonlight as she walked out of the Rowe
residence. Celeste felt an immense pain in her heart. She still couldn’t let go!
Just as she was about to reach the gate, someone suddenly grabbed her hand.
