LIANA
Standing beneath the arch of white lilies and roses, I smile, straightening out my dress and fixing the bouquet of matching flowers in my hand.
“You ready?”
“I’m ready.”
I hold my breath as the wedding march begins to play. The tears pool in my eyes as my heart brims with emotion. I look across at Zeke, who smiles brightly, his eyes sparkling with love. In response, my heart thumps in my chest with excitement. Lucian, standing beside Zeke, smiles widely back at me.
I look down the aisle to the she–wolf in her beautiful white dress as she walks toward us. I smooth a hand over my bulging belly and hear Lucian’s voice in my head.
“You look beautiful, my big mouza.”
I mock scowl at him and he chuck.
“I am not fat,” I throw back, and Zeke glances at me and raises a brow.
“You shut up, he scolds us both as his soon–to–be wife steps up onto the altar and passes me her bouquet of flowers with a smile.
Zeke found Laura, who works the grounds as a garden landscaper, while he was accompanying me on my daily walks. They aren’t mates but they had an instant connection, and a few months later they were engaged. They are a sweet couple. Laura is a pale, leggy redhead with a firecracker personality. I get on well with her, although she did see me as a threat at the beginning of their relationship. Zeke spends ninety percent of his time with me (Lucian has him at my side every minute of the day), not to mention that it’s common knowledge he had feelings for me once. But over time they got stronger as a couple, and she overcame her mistrust of me.
The wedding is beautiful–although not quite as beautiful as ours was and as I stand in the reception hall with champagne, Lucian comes up and curves a hand over my big belly.
my alcohol–free
“How’s my boy?” he coos from beside me, rubbing my stomach as our son kicks away at his hand, making me giggle. I curl my own hand over his and give him a bright smile.
“Active today.”
He smiles, feeling the kicks, and nods. “Shall we leave them to it? You should get some rest.”
I nod and follow his lead, remembering a time when I had to lead him. It seems so long ago that he was a blind man confessing his greatest weakness to me. Holding hands, we walk through the reception tent, and the guests part to let us through, bowing their heads. Then we stroll slowly across the manicured lawn, back to the palace.
Stepping into our home, I sigh a breath of relief and relax as Lucian massages my shoulders gently and lets his fingers move down to the back zipper of my dress. I giggle, glancing over my shoulder.
“What do you think you’re doing? I lease, and he winks at me.
“Nothing… Just making my wife more comfortable,” he jokes as he lets the dress fall down to a puddle on the floor. I take his hand, and he helps me step carefully out of the dress–and leads me upstairs.
Entering our room, I turn to face him, feeling nothing but pride even with my giant belly. He looks down over my body and smiles.
‘re so fucking beautiful.”
I smile too as he gets down to his knees and presses a kiss to my belly before hooking a hand between my thighs and teasing me slowly.
“This big boy needs to hurry up, he’s getting in my way now.”
I chuckle, making my big belly jiggle as I do.
